Online Event: An Evening with Maggie O’Farrell

We’re pleased to announce a special live event with the winner of the Women’s Prize for Fiction, Maggie O’Farrell, in partnership with Bookshop.org. Maggie will discuss her latest novel, The Marriage Portrait. We will be selling copies of the book, which will act as a ticket to join the hybrid event.
The event will take place on Thursday 1 December at 6.30pm, streaming live from the beautiful Alnwick Gardens, Northumberland, chaired by New Writing North’s Claire Malcolm. Maggie will be discussing the inspiration behind her beautiful novel, what she discovered about the real Lucrezia de’ Medici during her research and shedding new light on a familiar story, as she did with her previous book Hamnet.
