About the author:
Elizabeth is a local author and former BBC radio journalist. She is currently an Associate Professor in Criminology with the Conflict, Violence and Terrorism Research Centre at Royal Holloway, University of London, and an associate fellow with the Royal United Services Institute and the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism. As a former BBC Radio producer and reporter she is interested in talking to people engaged in extremist activism, to better understand their motivations. She hopes you will enjoy hearing what they have to say, and her take on it.
