BOOK LAUNCH AND SIGNING with Graham Clark, author of Coronation Baby, Council House Kid

January 15, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

At Parade’s End Books we are pleased to announce that Graham Clark, who many would only know by his nickname Gubba in the 1960s, will be in our shop to locally launch his recently published book, Coronation Baby, Council House Kid on Saturday 15th January between 11am until 1pm.

It tells a story of a little lad born in Coronation week 1953, raised locally and enjoying everything that the villages of Ham and Petersham offered in the coming decades with its places, friendships and neighbours.

Talking to Graham, he doesn’t really see his book as a memoir or autobiography, but more of a social and urban historical account of those times, events and music that many shared, growing up in that post-war Britain of any village, town or community, the ascension and era of our new Queen Elizabeth II, in which this year, our Monarch will be celebrating her 70th year of reign or Platinum Jubilee on 6th February 1952.

Working with Graham and as he likes to say, “A special village promotional ‘Mates Rates’ price of a Tenner (£10)!” will be available this Saturday for a limited time and subject to availability, rrp £11.99. Or just say hello and get your book signed.

If you want to pre-order for pickup, please email us at orders@paradesendbooks.co.uk
